About

It is situated 28 km away from Ramgarh on the confluence of rivers Bhairavi and Damodar. This temple known as Chinnamastika temple finds place in our Vedas and Puranas and it has been recognized as an ancient and strong source of Shakti. It is believed that the person who devotes himself whole heartedly with pious heart to Maa Chinnamastika has all his wishes fulfilled by the Goddess. Devotees from all corners of Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal visit this holy place throughout the year. Marriages are also solemnized here on a large scale. The Art and architecture of Rajrappa temple bears resemblance to that of the famous Kamakhaya temple of Assam.

Darsan Timings

Time

Winter Timing – 5:30 AM – 9:30 PM

Summer Timing – 4:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Aarti Time

Morning Timing – 6:00 AM

Evening Timing – 8:00 PM

During the Aarti, the Temple remains closed for a short duration.

Significance

Pooja

It is believed that, Maa Chhinnamastika pooja protects us from Instance of misfortune, difficulty and misguided mind.

Marriage / Mundan

Pilgrimage from all status come here and perform their marriages. Childrens Mundan rituals are also performed at a large number.

Vehicle Pooja

This place is very famous among the vehicles owners as it is believed that the first worship of vehicles at this place multiply the life of vehicles and luck of owners.

Temple Rituals

At Chinnamasta Temple , the Deity is worshipped with the concept of Self-sacrifice, invoking of the kundalini – spiritual energy via tantric rituals and relief from Rahu dosa.

Regular Offerings

Prasad, Vibhuti, animal sacrifice (on special occasions and on fulfilling of mannat.) are the main offerings made to Maa Chinnamasta.

Darsan Dresscode

The devotees are suggested to wear modest and conservative clothing while visiting the Chinnamasta Temple.

Sacred Festivals

The Hindu festivals typically celebrate events from Hindu mythology. These festivals are organized and celebrated in a special way at Maa chinnamastika Temple, Rajrappa.

In the month of January a special fair is held here on the festival of Makar Sankranti and attended by lakhs of people. A fair is also organized during the festival of Vijaydashmi, and attended by large number of people.
